A catch-all functionality that is activated for a specific email mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise put, if you disable an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the exact same domain name, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be essential if you are running a company, for example. Since you may start receiving spam email messages, you can use the catch-all option with email filters so as to receive only real email messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

If you have a hosting plan with our company and you’d like to activate the catch-all functionality for a specific mailbox that you’ve got in the hosting account, it will take literally just one click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to accomplish that. A catch-all button is available on the right-hand side of each email address that you have created under any domain registered in your account. You can choose one email address per domain by clicking the respective button. This will enable the feature immediately, so all emails sent to misspelled addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking the button once again will turn off the catch-all feature. In case you’ve got activated email forwarding, our system will display a warning notification and you will not be able to enable the catch-all feature till you delete the forwarding or you can simply pick some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.
